INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SATISFACTION IN EUROPE: WHERE DO YOU WANT TO STUDY ABROAD?

The StudyPortals International Student Satisfaction Awards might help you decide! The awards are based on the report “International student satisfaction in Europe”. The research analyzed nearly 17,000 study experiences from international students on STeXX. eu, the student experience exchange platform. The key influences for student satisfaction were, amongst others, the city and culture, academic aspects, social life, university services and personal and professional development.


As well as providing an insight into general student satisfaction, the report reveals the most highly rated universities in Europe.


In 2013, the following European countries were rated with the highest level of student satisfaction by international students:


1. Austria 2. Sweden 3. Germany


4. United Kingdom 5. Switzerland 6. Netherlands 7. Spain 8. Belgium


9. Italy


10. France Austria


Austria ranks highest in the International Student Satisfaction Award 2013. Despite its very low tuition fees, Austrian universities are known for their high quality of education. The country’s cultural and economic ties to both eastern and western Europe make it especially appealing to international students.


Sweden


Sweden ranks second in the International Student Satisfaction Awards 2013 which comes as no surprise as the Swedish education system combines extremely high quality with an open and informal atmosphere. Approximately 20% of new students in Sweden come from abroad, making Sweden one of the world’s most inclusive countries for education. Additionally, Sweden consistently ranks among the world’s most innovative nations!


Germany


Germany has not only Europe’s biggest economy but it is also well-known for its high-class education system, especially in the field of engineering.
