helps you work best, to ensure you reach your maximum potential in any future employment. So what motivates you? Is it money? Career progression? Praise for you work? Maybe you just have a pure passion for the industry you want to work in. Whatever it is, you need to be confident that it will be enough to get you up out of bed and at your desk every single day, because from here on out it’s all about self-motivation!
What are your best skills? You should be able to identify confidently what sets you apart from your peers. There’s no
two ways about it, once you graduate you will all be entering the jobs market and will probably be applying for similar jobs, so you need to be aware of what you have that your classmates don’t, and what makes you more employable.
The only way you will secure a graduate job is if you believe you are the best person for the role, so make a list of all the things that you know you absolutely rock at, and be proud of them! You don’t need to have a First Class degree to be employable, just be able to show you have
the skills employers are looking for; communication, organisation, responsibility and teamwork.
Take some time over the next few weeks to reflect on each of these questions and get a firm idea of where you want to be, and the transition between university and real life will be that little bit easier.
