TASTE THE RAINBOW...
With May behind us, we are left with
just the memories, including one to remind us that we have begun SoCal’s Pride season. Long Beach Pride kicked off the string of California celebrations, and there are unique and festive city Pride events in each of the coming months. Daisy: Let’s really, really quickly re-
cap May... like Speedy Gonzales quick: I had the honor to emcee Luigi Vera’s an- niversary party celebrating the seven years of him providing San Diego with one-of-a-kind fashions and high-end merchandise. Luigi is fantastic, so how could I refuse? Every year, the models that walk the runway for his fashion show get hotter and sexier and this year was no exception. Yummy. Next of course, was the aforemen-
tioned Long Beach Pride and the events were fun “out-of-town” experi- ences, including Miss Kelly Rowland and for us Latinos, Belanova! Jessica: A super-fun weekend for
sure. Our weekend was packed tighter then Daisy’s cincher. Daisy: Hey, watch it! That cincher is a necessity because we keep getting

invited to foodie events like Mama’s Day at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. So much tasty food from the top restau- rants all over town... Who could say no? The fantastic Harvey Milk Diversi-
ty Breakfast happened also at the end of the month. With so many touching moments, it is totally worth the trouble of waking up at 6 a.m. to get ready. Jessica: Moderation you gorda.
ENOUGH LOOKING BACK, LET’S TALK ABOUT JUNE:
Can you believe The Rage Monthly
has been around for seven years going into our eighth? Time flies so quickly when you’re having a great time. Daisy: L.A. Pride hits the street
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 6 through 8 headed up by Grand Mar- shal Demi Lovato and the sensational Jennifer Hudson on stage along with our girls from Danity Kane. Jessica: With so much star power
in L.A., I’m packing as we speak. Logo TV is also presenting their RuPaul’s Drag Race Pride Party featuring the girls, Raja, Sharon, Jinkx, Alyssa,
Bendelacreme, Ivy, Joslyn, Laganja, Latrice, Shangela and Yara. You bet- ter sissy that walk and get your tickets! The Del Mar Fair kicks off summer
fun and the fourth annual Out at the Fair is not to be missed Saturday, June 14. There will be two stages, a full day of fun entertainment and a pool party with DJs Drew G and John Joseph from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., so get yourself ready to enjoy the fair—rainbow style. Daisy: You learn something new
every day. I wasn’t aware there was an Out at the Fair event and now that I do, it will be on my calendar every year. I mean come on, there is even a fun pool party to start the festivities. Jessica: Two-piece or one-piece
bathing suit…oh ,the decisions. Daisy: I’m starting to see a trend de-
veloping—we’re always talking about the food events. Taste of Gaslamp anyone? It’s two days of samples with over 25 restaurants each day. Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15. It’s a fun way to check out the food Downtown with a group of friends. Jessica: You need a new hobby Miss Daisy, food is on your mind (and tongue)
offer some theater recommendations: There is still time to catch the fantastic new musical Chasing the Song at the La Jolla Playhouse. Did you know that the La Jolla Playhouse was founded by San Diego native Gregory Peck? Well girl, it was and since then LJP has become a nationally-renowned treasure. The show is running through Sunday, June 15 and you don’t want to miss this fabulous ‘60s rock and roll musical. Jessica: Check out local theatres
for special LGBT Out Nights, featuring fun receptions before the night’s per- formance so you can mix and mingle with other theatre-loving LGBT folks. It’s a great way to meet people, don’t be shy and say ‘Hi,’ you might make a new theater buddy. Daisy: Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Golden Chicks per- formances at the Brass Rail Saturday, June 14 with special guest Angel Fairfax, and over at #1 Fifth Ave. on Thursday, June 19 with special guest Georgette. Every show has new numbers, a rotating cast and your girls putting on an entertaining show. With that, we’ve come to the end of
June’s column, remember to check out page 64’s calendar for more exciting events this month for you to enjoy. Go out, meet new people and LIVE!
XOXO
