To get things rolling, tell me about growing up and when you start play-

ing, writing and performing? I wasn't a very popular kid. Big thick glasses and asthma kinda kept me on the sidelines of popularity, so I struggled to make friends. I spent a lot of time being alone, and sad. Music was my escape from life, I spent a lot of time day dreaming, cranking up the music and singing at the top of my lungs as if I was on a big stage somewhere. It was all about the same time that I discovered music and made the decision to pursue it as a career. So, I saved up as much money as I could doing chores, and mowing people's lawns, babysit- ting, etc. My Dad took me down to the music shop and I bought the one and only guitar in the whole place that I could afford. It was $199.99. I had $200, and didn't know any- thing about sales tax, so I ended up having to borrow a few bucks from my Dad, but I walked out of there super happy that I finally had a guitar. I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with that guitar, but at least I had it! It took me quite a while before I saved enough money up to get a guitar teacher. When I did, I learned a few chords and stuck with those chords for the rest of my career. Haha! I started writing songs before I knew how to play the guitar. Eventually it all came together. A long process for sure, but I loved it. I know you probably get tired of an- swering this one, but who are your biggest musical influences? I guess we all wanna know who influences
