This is one of the county’s top food-centric events and is host to the best of the best San Diego culinary professionals from the finest restaurants, hotels and catering companies. “Mama’s Day contin- ues to be one of the leading fundraisers in San Diego and this year will not disappoint,” said Heather K. NORTH COUNTY RESOURCE CENTER GALA The North County Resource Center is looking for support… And all you have to do is buy a ticket and attend a party, with a wonderful keynote speaker— our very own Tony Atkins! The first openly lesbian Speaker of the California Assembly, Tony Atkins has been in the forefront of legislation that protects our LGBT population and in particular our Transgender community. She is a friend and avid supporter of the North County LGBT community. This after-dinner event on Saturday, May 31, with tasty bites and a cash bar, is the fourth in the series to be held at the gorgeous Oceanside Museum of Art. And as they say at the Center, “This fundraiser is what makes our ‘little center that could’ a possibility. Your ticket, sponsor- ships and presence will support the many variety of programs that we offer to about 10,000 people each year.” What more can be said? Grab a ticket, have a blast and offer some hope to others! For tickets and more information call 760.994.1690 or go to
