PHOTOS OF CONTENDER PROGENY IN N.A.  Checkmate 4 going strong at age 19 with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum competing in the Grand Prix in Welling- ton this year.  Contango Preferent won both the jumping and dressage portions of his stallion licensing with a score of 146.89—one of the highest scores of all time. He was a successful jumper before becoming a grand prix dressage horse. He won 33 grand prix classes, including six championships. His legacy as a sire is unparalleled with numerous grand prix jumpers and dressage horses, including superstar Ravel.  Contefino, now standing at Royal Oaks Farm, earned the highest scores at the Holsteiner Stallion Approval of any stallion in the US. He competed in Europe through 1.60m and is retired living the good life in California.  Pabbles, a jumper mare owned by Darla Mitchell.  Capone I, Grand Prix stallion ridden by Kyle King.  Camiros, standing at Fox Fire Farm, was the grand champion stallion in l994 at the Holsteiner stallion approvals in Neumunster, Germany.  Contifax, a GP stallion now standing at Creekside Farm.
