Where Sporthorses Begin

Photo by Tammo Ernst Rusticus 2011 16h, chestnut, Trakehner by Favoritas xx and o/o Rispe IV

Rusticus is the “Best Anglo Trakehner” of the 2013 approval crop in Neumuenster, Germany, and was called “fascinating to watch at liberty and over jumps”. Sire Favoritas xx was an international Grand Prix show jumper from bloodlines proven at the Olympic and WEG level. Most notably, Rusticus’ paternal pedigree shares its background with that of the currently best Trakehner show jumper producer in the world, Waitaki, while dam Rispe IV also produced an international competitor, Grand Prix dressage star Rudy’s Memory TSF. With such strong sporthorse blood on both sides of his pedigree, Rusticus may well be the ideal eventhorse sire, in particular for mares needing more “blood” in the formula.

Trakehner Verband, ATA, Oldenburger Vb and Bavarian Warmblood Vb stallion by Askar AA and o/o St.Pr.St. Hamamelis

Approved by the Trakehner Verband in Germany in 2007 as the best “half-blood” colt of the year. Champion of his 70-day performance testing at Marbach in 2009, earning the top scores in both dressage and jumping. During Halimey’s first season in the U.S. he won two events at the preliminary level, with dressage scores under 30, and placed consistently within the top 10. Halimey also won his first intermediate to end the 2013 season on a very high note. His temperament is truly phenomenal in terms of gentleness, willingness to perform, and yet stallion type. Halimey is the perfect sire for a top event horse prospect. This premium-approved Trakehner half-blood stallion is a great choice for sporthorse breeders looking to add athleticism, movement (balance in particular) while still having enough blood to run distances. In addition, Halimey has excellent rideability.

Songline 2004 16.2h, dark bay,

Trakehner by Summertime and o/o Schwalbenspiel

Songline was the champion of the 2006 Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster, Germany and the 2010 National Champion Six Year Old Eventing Horse (Bundeschampion). Bred by Gestuet Haemelschenburg in Emmerthal, Germany, his many achievements include German Trakehner National Champion Show Jumper and Eventhorse. He had wins and high placings up through the three star level in eventing with Andreas Dibowski. Songline has already one approved son, Eiskoenig, and numerous good daughters, who are now winning in competitions. This stallion is a true testament to Trakehner horses because his talents are balanced. He is, and produces, conformational correctness, which is an essential building block in breeding sporthorses and he has phenomenal quality of gaits, in the opinions of many Koerung inspectors and competition judges.
