Letters toWT
KWPN and Eventing I would like to share with you how much I en-
WT
joyed Faith Fessenden’s article in January/February, “Can–and Should –Warmblood Breeders Specialize for Eventing?” I get so excited whenever I hear Warmbloods and
eventing in the same sentence, not to mention KWPN horses! I was on the edge of my seat when you used Jazz as an example, as I have a Jazz baby coming up my pipeline of event horses. After years of firmly believing in my KWPN partners and their ability to succeed in eventing, it was a refreshing and most in- spiring article to read—both as a young breeder and a rider. Thank you for your words of wisdom. Also, thank you so much for providing such stel-
lar articles for readers like myself to enjoy! Bethany Hutchins, Haven Valley Farm, Dryden, MI
Photo Fun I really enjoy your magazine, so much so that
when my friend and I created a game called “Proj- ect Sleepy” where we would try to take a photo of one of us next to a sleeping horse, I grabbed your magazine and cuddled up with Rhett, Jim Koford’s Grand Prix dressage horse. I worked as Jim’s groom for years, so Rhett didn’t even bat an eye about me lying against him. I had to share this fun moment with you, especially since it looks like Rhett too was enjoying Warmbloods Today!

The opening photo of the American Trakehner Association article “Worth Their Weight in Gold” on page 62 in January/February was not Lindsey Holleger and Friedensfurst. MacMillan Photogra- phy apologizes as they mistakenly misidentified this beautiful pair who are in fact: Ayden Uhlir and Sjapoer, the gold medalists in the Young Rider division of the NAJYRC last year.

Knabstruppers and Advertising Success I just wanted to drop you a note saying how ex-
cited I am about a couple of things. First, thank you for publishing the breed high-
light in November/December on the Knabstrupper. It is such a rare breed right now—the publicity and exposure is sure to bring more awareness of this charming, versatile equine. I own a young Knab- strupper stallion who was imported from Denmark last May. I look forward to advertising him in your magazine after he acquires his license. Second, I advertised my smart grooming prod-
ucts with Warmbloods Today and the first issue was in January/February. I have had six orders since the beginning of the month and that is FANTASTIC be- cause this is a new product offered here in the U.S. and currently only through me! I look forward to more business and will be considering a full page sometime this summer. This is such a great company to work with. Thank you all again! Amy Sep, Smart Grooming USA, Linden, MI
Photo corrections: Patricia Kelly took the photograph of Ali Cornish and Freddy on page 34 of the January/February issue in the article titled: “Beyond the Jumps.” Instead of “Cour- tesy Ali Cornish” the photo credit should have said: “Courtesy Patricia Kelley.”
