Hidden away in Starnes Court, Union Street in the heart of the town you will find Maidstone Squash Club, a small, vibrant and friendly club which has been in existence for over 60 years. They boast a healthy membership of enthusiastic squash and racketball players of all standards and ages. Development is a key word at the club and local 7 -17 year olds are encouraged to take up squash by offering a thriving Junior Club on Saturday mornings from 9am - 12 noon. The sessions are coached by a Level 3 County Development Coach and a young team, which includes Nationally ranked Josh Masters. Many of the club’s junior members have gone on to win honours in the league and play at County, Regional and National level.
The club also encourages women to take up the sport by hosting
Squashacise classes on Wednesday nights from 7.20 - 8.30pm. The class is open to non-members from beginners to experienced players and is a fun workout class which includes a circuit / cardio workout, a coaching session delivered by the club coach and then a chance to play other class members before finishing with a sociable drink at the club bar with new friends. For the squash player who wants to improve their fitness, on Monday nights from 6 - 7pm there is a challenging Fit for Squash class. This is an hour long session of on-court cardio exercises aimed at pushing the fittest player to the limit. This session is followed by a Club Night from 7 - 8pm.
