A SCRAPBOOK made with HOPE & INSPIRATION...
On this page is the story of Lumen (was Miss Maude), almost paralysed she was due to be euthanized but Monika had faith and hope that somewhere there was a family car ing enough to give her a home. This is her inspirational update story...
Made with love by Andrea Comer, Lumen’s Mum

“ Seeing Lumen go to her forever home was a dream come true. I will never forget our vet calling me in to discuss her future and poor quality of life. I cuddled and kissed her but I could not euthanize her. She was so full of life and her eyes were bright and alive. She deserved a chance.” Monika
Lumen’s journey is complete & she has the rest of her life to belong to her special family!
Lumen is doing really well, farm life seems to suit her, she loves getting involved in everything (while still keeping her safe from harm). She is a brave little girl, fearless really, she walks over to the fence and looks up at our Clydesdale without a scrap of fear on her face.
She began walking a few months after arriving here, little unsteady steps taken very slowly, now her back is straight and her movement a lot smoother and more controlled.
She jumps up at the side of her cot
when I’m making her dinner. She’s better at walking in the mornings then the afternoon. She was walking in the front paddock with David and I was up on the veranda videoing her and her little head looked up when she heard me talking and when she saw me her little fluffy tail went ballistic, just warmed my heart.
Things like that stay will stay with you forever, they are just the things that happen in your life that make it beautiful. And all the ex tra work that
goes into looking after a dog with
special needs well moments like that just melt your heart and make it all worthwhile. I felt so blessed. She is a wonderful little soul with a very cheeky personality and she has the loudest bark and has no trouble letting me know what she wants.
The majority of Lumen’s time is spent in her two cots, she tells the pugs off when they jump up as she doesn’t like them doing that. She is very festive at the moment and has 4 little cloth Christmas puddings hanging on the corners of her cot.
