19 “ We might have saved Ginger’s life when we adopted her but now she has saved us too!” Emily, OUR GINGER WENT FROM RESCUED DOG — TO RESCUER! Hi Monika,

Ginger joined our family in April, she is just gorgeous and now the centre of our world, along with our girls 5 & 7, of course! Since then she has become a regular fixture in our lives.

Ginger works four days a week, three days in my office in Manly making websites for Kindleman and she spends one day a week making sails at Mona Vale. Ginger is also well known at the Miss 7’s school and Miss 5’s pre-school and is very popular at pick-up and drop -offs as she is so patient with children and their adoration!

One night Ginger went from Rescue dog to rescuer when our dish- washer caught fire. I put the dish- washer on and we to bed – Ginger and I, my husband was away. About half an hour after we went to bed, as I was dropping off to sleep, there

Ginger saved us!

was a bang in the kitchen and Ginger leapt into action to investigate and began a furious barking. When I went into the kitchen, initially I could not see anything wrong, but Ginger kept barking and then I saw smoke curling out of the dishwasher. On closer inspection, I could see flames behind the buttons. I called a friend and then the Fire Service and luckily the only

thing damaged was the dishwasher.

Ginger is a wonderful friend, companion and also great additional safety and security. We love having Ginger into our lives. A Happy New Year Emily & family…
