2013 was a year that DoggieRescue grew and developed fur ther . We have gone to pounds far ther afield and taken dogs in appalling
condition. Many of whom have needed urgent veter inary care. So in the highs and lows of the year what has stood out? We have asked some
suppor ters to name a memorable moment for each of them dur ing the year that has past….
100’s of precious lives saved!
NIKKI— FOSTER CARER My most memorable
moment from 2013 was…
Being charged with taking Maude (our diagnosed paraplegic dog) to Melbourne to meet her new family. I had her in my care less than 24 hours, but she made an incredible impression on me. Her zest for life, determination & her st rength touched me more that I’d have imagined.
KIM—VOLUNTEER My most memorable
moment from 2013 was…
My special boy Mojo being adopted. I used to visit him every week to feed him treats, give him cuddles & have playtime with his favourite toys. At times we would just chill out on his dog bed. I always looked forward to our time together and was over the moon when he found a family of his own.
CORINNE—EDITOR My most memorable
moment from 2013 was…
In a year of some very special moments it’s hard to choose but I’d say for me the stand out was the DR cats appearing in the magazine this year. Promoting cats/kittens, is something very close to my heart. See DR’s lovely Mummy Mia & her babies on our back cover!
