Women’s Self-Defense Classes with Caccamesi

omen can learn the art of self-defense in classes begin- ning this month taught by Dr. Charles Caccamesi, of Acupunture Care of Naples. His system was originally designed for female state troopers in Massachusetts 30 years ago, and he has been refining it ever since. Classes foster confidence, coordi-


nation, power, awareness and skills in self-defense.

Adventure, Detox and Diet Offered for the Winter Season

dventure Life- style, LLC, based in Naples and West Palm Beach, is offer- ing small-group detox programs featuring healthy dieting and fitness this holiday season. Starting this month, two-day week- end orientations will begin each Saturday at

9 a.m. through Sunday at 5 p.m., with the option of experi- encing additional personalized detox and fitness activities that include at-home sessions for five days each following week. Programs include organic juicing, lectures, presenta- tions, massage, stretching, yoga, beach runs, snorkeling and a sail (weather permitting), plus a Saturday night stayover on a 45-foot yacht at the Naples City Dock and a special breakfast. Program hosts are Dr. Jen Van de Pavoordt-Franklin, a doctor of natural health and healing, physical therapist with a grande diplome of French cuisine, and her husband, Rudi, an ex-medic and currently a scuba teacher and a boat captain.
