May 20, some 70 members of the Pittsburgh and Youngstown chapters enjoyed a joint meeting, gath- ering over dinner before ad- journing to Stambaugh Audi- torium for a demonstration by Richard Konzen, outgoing deanof theYoungstownChap- ter, of the E.M. Skinner organ, recently restored by the A. Thompson-Allen Company. The console and organ cham- bers were then thrown open to the Pittsburgh visitors, while the Youngstown mem- bers installed their new offi- cers for the coming year. —Alan Lewis
Williamsport, Pa. April 20, chapter members traveled to Watsontown to hear and play the recently renovated 1892 Felgemaker organ in Trinity United Church of Christ. John Ravert was our guide. Following the tour of the or- gan, we had lunch at the Wat- son Inn in Watsontown. After lunch, we traveled to Muncy PresbyterianChurchinMuncy to hear the church’s 1884Mo- line organ. We were hosted by the Rev. Robert Dunkel- berger and Evelyn Derrick. Following our tour of the Muncy organ, a brief busi- ness meeting was held. —R.Lee Waltz
York, Pa. May 21, the annual member and student recital was presented at St. Matthew Lutheran Church (Jonathan Noel, host). The performers were Rodney Barnett, Evan Brickner, Victor Fields, Rich- ard Frey, Daniel Rothermel (sixth-grade student of Victor Fields), and Layton Graves (twelfth-grade student ofRich- ard Frey). During the recital, Graves successfully audi- tionedfor the chapter’sHarold R. Hunt Scholarship and was awarded the $500 prize. He plans to attend Westminster Choir College this fall.

Following that segment of the program, members retired to the sanctuary of Richmond’s historic Grace Covenant Pres- byterian Church, where the chapter’s scholarship stu- dents Elizabeth Kunde, Da- vid Zaronas, and Steven Mc- Neer performed in recital, playing music of Bach, Zi- poli, Held, Pachelbel, Die- mer, Couperin, Langlais, Zachau, and Dupré.
