involved removing a rere- dos and adding new wain- scoting to match what was already present. The work also included a new console and the complete releather- ing of the instrument.


The 25th-anniversary cele- bration of the installation of the Gabriel Kney organ in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn., took place in March and April. The organ was a gift from Robert S. Asmuth Sr., class of 1943, in memory of his grandson, Robert S. As- muth III. The concluding concert began with the Symphony of Praise byNoel Goemanne for choir and or- gan, commissioned for the dedication of the organ, with conductor Robert Strusinski and organist Robert Vickery. Next was


the premiere of the Con- certo for Organ, Strings, and Percussion by James P. Callahan, with Matthew George conducting and the composer as organist. The choir sang Schubert’s Mass in G Major conducted by Aaron Brown, with Kevin Seal as organist. The con- cert concluded with the Concerto in G Minor by Francis Poulenc, David Jenkins, organ, and Matt- hew George, conductor. The anniversary celebration also included recitals by Ahreum Han and Michel Bouvard.
