HoweverthisGovernment, likethose before it,has shownlittleornointerest in better regulation forthe leaseholdproperty market. In theabsence of this,webelieve that the AssociationofResidentialManaging Agents has takenaveryboldstepinintroducing self-regulationvia thenew ARMA-Q scheme launched this timelastyear. This accords with theGovernment’sstatedobjective for business sectors to regulate themselves, although thereare fewmodelsout thereof industries that have actually done so.We firmlybelieve that thebenefits of becoming an ARMA-Q accreditedmanaging agent will vastly outweighthe costsassociatedwith doingsoand that ourcustomers will feel
