The Rotary Young Chef. Students from Dartmouth Academy battle it out on Thursday 24th. Come to Royal Avenue Gardens to see the judging at 4pm.

Young Pizza Chef of the Year. On Sunday 27th six young chefs aged 10-14 will attempt to win a Bushman wood-fired oven from Dingley Dell by cooking the best wood-fired pizzas. Come to Royal Avenue Gardens to cheer them on.

FAMILY FUN AT THE FESTIVAL
We welcome everyone to the Festival and especially children – our future chefs! We love to see them interested in cooking, tasting, buying and learning. As ever there’s lots going on for families –
On Thursday 24th, we’ll be holding our dedicated Children’s Festival for local schools to find out about our own local food, fishing and farming. Run for us by Dartmouth Academy, it’s a day of learning and laughter. After the Children’s Festival, we are hosting our annual Children’s Tea Party. Kids – please bring a well-behaved adult with you. 4:30pm, Royal Avenue Gardens.
From 25th-27th October, Coast & Country Cottages and Café Al Fresco will be hosting our Family Area in Royal Avenue Gardens. There’ll be prizes to win and fun to be had as well as magic from Lez the Fez on Sunday 27th.
Get Up And Cook with Miranda Gardiner in the Flavel. Saturday 26th October 9:30–10:30am. Our Children’s Cooking Champion, local food writer Miranda Gardiner, will host a lively hour of cooking with guest chefs for children and families. Inspiring and full of tips and ideas this session is FREE of charge and no booking is required.
