The event will feature a collection of 55-gallon recycled rain barrels
transformed into works of art by local artists. The barrels will be displayed around Kendall County the week before the Rainwater Revival and auctioned off at the event.

Native American Tribes Gather for Inter-Tribal Pow

Wow on Oct. 19, 20 Tribal Culture, Wares, Dances and Heritage on Display at Two-Day Event
raders Village and the DFW Inter-Tribal Association are hosting the Third Annual Championship Pow Wow on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20. This Pow Wow is a celebration of Native American culture and heritage that includes an authentic tribal dance competition. Tribes from all across the United States will gather for the tribal dance event in which tribe members from age two to 80 will dress in full regalia and compete for prize money in several dance categories. Spectators will get a glimpse of how Native Americans incorporate feathers, bells and beadwork into their costumes and dances.
