Vegetarian RecipesHerb the 0at Squash Relish


The golden color and the sweet flavor of Zucchini’s and Yellow Squashes are a rich source of Vitamin A and C, potassium and manganese. The grated or sliced squash fruit may be preserved by blanching in hot water for about 5 minutes then put into the freezer. Another way that you can “put up” the fruit is by dehy- drating it in an oven or dehydrator, canned, frozen or pickled. The fruit may be baked, fried, grilled or pick- led. Here’s an additional way to make use of the over abundance of the fruit a relish! Just remember that Vibration Cooking means that you use no measure- ments to cook or to prepare your foods. You are to employ your inner intuitions to create this delicious relish. As you cook you will trust your instincts to savor the summer fruit.


Shred about 4 medium squashes (Choice between Zucchini or Yellow Squash or both)


2 large opinions, chopped 1 large bell pepper A dash of canning salt not too much 1 t. Stevia Enough Apple Cider Vinegar to half fill a Dutch oven


Dashes of each celery seed ground mustard and ground turmeric Small dash of nutmeg and black pepper


In a large container, add the first three ingredients and salt and pepper. Cover the mixture and put into the refrigerator overnight and then drain more than once to remove all liquid.


In the Dutch oven, combine Stevia, vinegar, and the spices, the squash mixture; return to a boil. Low the heat; simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat,


The relish can be ladle into pint canning jars leaving a headspace, jars need to be wiped and lids adjusted. Process canning jars for 15 minutes in boiling water. Now if this is not your cup of tea you can refriger- ate the relish for up to a week or so. This relish is sweet you can make it spicy by grating hot peppers. Relishes may be served with all Vegan, Vegetarian and Meat dinners!


Pretending Reality into Being


Hi there all you Herb The Cat fans. This month I’m going to teach you the real need and benefits of pretending. All my devoted followers know that my reason for exist- ing and the purpose of this column is to help everyone learn the secrets of manifestation and how to create the desired reality right here on planet earth. Learning what it really takes to take charge of your reality changes your life from wondering and guessing to knowing and experiencing. First you need to be taught where pretending makes a difference. That would be in your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is a funny duck in that it cannot tell the difference in what you call reality and what you call pretend. You can go out on a date one night with your special friend, sit on the fence together, howl at the moon, catch a few mice for supper and have just the most fabulous time of your life. The next night, your favorite friend has a class at college and cannot go out with you, so you curl up on the sofa, put your paws over your eyes and re-live the previous night’s experience in great detail. Scientists have put sensors on a cat’s head to monitor brain activity during the “actual” experience and then during the “pretend” experience and have determined that the brain fires in the same exact area of the same region in the brain with both experiences to the point that they can not tell that the “pretend” experience was not “real” or that the “actual” experience was not “pretend”.


Scientists have also determined that whatever you focus on is what comes into your life because the subcon- scious mind works to bring you more of whatever you are experiencing regardless of your conscious desires. So, just connect the dots. “Pretend” experiences are the same as “actual” experiences to the subconscious mind and the subconscious mind works to bring you what ever you are focusing on, so if you don’t like your “actual” experiences, just have as many “pretend” expe- riences as you can that are what you really want so that your subconscious mind will work to bring the “pretend” experiences into your reality. You could call this process “Fake it ‘til you make it”. You can do this as often as you wish. It’s called “Flow Dreaming” and is best done at times like the vet’s office visit when you have the choice of looking at gossip magazines that program you for “Break up to make up” and “Trauma and drama” or close your eyes and program your subconscious mind for the future you wish to manifest. The choice is really yours!
