GT I don’t think anyone can visit John of God and not say their life has changed. There is an awakening inside where things become clearer.
For me it was when I least expected it. I was sitting in his chapel room, not at all in a meditative state. In fact, my mind was occupied by thinking about business issues when all of a sudden an amazing feeling came over me. A column of white light seemed to come down from the ceiling and surround me with the feeling of pure love. A voice came to me, not like a psychic mes- sage but like a man standing next to me. The voice said, “But what is your higher purpose?”
I know it sounds crazy but I felt that day I actually talked to God. After I came back, when I was leading group meditations people said They actually felt the energy from John of God. I am sure this experience has helped to deepen my connection to spirit.
MCW I really enjoyed your Spiritual Journeys CD with guided meditations and beautiful harp music. Do you think music is a part of the healing process?
GT I made this CD with a friend of mine, Aedan MacDonnell, who is a certified music practitioner. She believes the harp music brings in the angels. I then lead a beautiful meditation invoking angels and benevolent spirits to come into the room. We actually felt the power of the spirits coming through as we recorded it. People say that it is like being at one of my live mediations, and many people report actually feeling the healing energy. In the meditation I guide people to release that which no longer serves them and to give permission to the spirits to work on them. I believe this is a really won- derful way to connect with spirit and receive a beautiful healing.
MCW What message would you like to leave with our readers concerning John of God and his mission?
GT That we are in charge of our own life and our own health. We are all connected to the spirit world and it is ours by Divine right. Healing takes place when we con- nect to the spiritual realms. John of God is a beautiful soul who helps us to reconnect with the Divine. In the words of John of God, “It is God who heals.”
