Welcome to the latest edition of entrepreneurcountry and I hope you’ve all had a fantastic summer, with plenty of time to relax, refuel and get back the energy and vigour you need to continue growing your business.
While many of you have been taking much needed time out, the entrepreneurcountry team have been busy planning and plotting a variety of ways we can continue to serve our entrepreneurial community. Here are two big announcements to look forward to…
On 30th September we are celebrating our 11th EC Forum at the usual location of Mayfair at the Royal Institution of Great Britain. Our full-day Forum events are always a great opportunity to see our community really come alive as we invite hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders to network with each other, share ideas and hear from a host of inspirational speakers. This year, we will be welcoming this month’s cover interviewee, Saul Klein, founder and CEO of what is now LoveFilm and Co-founder of Seedcamp, to come and speak about his entrepreneurial journey and why he now invests in some of the globe’s most innovative tech companies. Other speakers include George Coelho, one of the world’s most prominent VCs and co-founder of Benchmark Capital Europe, David Willbe, a counsel at international law firm Crowell & Moring, Steve Pateman, Head of UK Banking at Santander who will be speaking on how Santander are supporting Britain’s fast-growth businesses as well as Rod Banner, who brings a wealth of experience to start-ups and aging businesses looking for a strategic refresh.
The entrepreneurcountry team also have an exciting announcement to make on the day. We have noticed in the last year that our community has been growing exponentially across the globe. Now that fast-growth SMEs in different regions are increasingly reaching out to us for advice, funding and support, we have decided to build a global platform to cater to entrepreneurs everywhere. Come along to the Forum to hear more on what we have planned and to celebrate the launch!
