eterborough Registration Service offers Naming and Renewal of Vows ceremonies in various venues around the city. Every ceremony is unique and offers the flexibility to meet the individual needs and wishes of the family.


Naming Ceremony


A Naming ceremony is a formal and dignified non-religious ceremony designed to welcome a child or children into the family and wider community. It provides an opportunity to announce the chosen names and for parents and other chosen adults to make a commitment to support the child or children.


Renewal of Vows Ceremony


A Renewal of Vows ceremony is for any married couple or civil partners who wish to re-affirm their relationship in a unique and personal, non-religious ceremony.


It provides an opportunity to acknowledge any children of the partnership and to rededicate rings.


Small Steps 2


Both ceremonies are a very meaningful and personal experience for all those involved. A souvenir record of the ceremony will be signed and presented during the event.


Ceremonies can be held at the Register Office or at any approved venue which has been licensed by Peterborough City Council.
