eterborough Libraries are fun places for children and their families. They are free to join and children can have their own library card from birth. You can borrow all sorts of books for your baby and toddler, from board books and ‘touch and feel’ books, to picture books and storybooks for children learning to read.
Children’s films are also available to borrow on DVD.
Your baby or toddler can also enjoy the Bookstart Bear Club. Simply collect pawprint stamps for each visit to the library and receive a series of Bookstart Bear certificates. Ask at your local library for more details and
Spurgeons Children’s Centres
Spurgeons Children’s Centres provide quality services to under fives and their families, so children can have the best possible start in life and reach their full potential.
Children’s Centres offer a wide range of services from pre-birth to primary school age. Services include play sessions (delivered by qualified Early Years Practitioners), health services, parenting and family support (one to one or in groups), adult education, dad’s groups and return to work support through Job Centre Plus. These services are delivered within the Centres or at other venues in the location. The range of services vary based on the needs of the community.
