Situated in a popular village of Kingsthorpe close to local amenities, this purpose built complex is equipped to the highest standards, with tastefully decorated rooms all of which have en-suite facilities. Our friendly, qualified staff provides 24 hour care and all meals are freshly prepared on the premises from locally sourced produce. Almshouses - One bedroom bungalows
St Giles Charity owns a small development of one bedroom bungalows in a quiet cul de sac adjacent to Nicholas Rothwell House.
As almshouses, the bungalows are occupied under licence and residents pay a maintenance charge. There is no warden for the bungalows but they are linked into Northampton Borough Councils emergency call care system. Residents need to be relatively independent and take responsibility for arranging any necessary support, e.g. relatives, healthcare profession etc. The keeping of pets is at the discretion of the trustees, and residents must obtain prior approval.
The Trustees of the Charity are responsible for the maintenance and external decoration of the bungalows, which are fully fitted with wet rooms and kitchen appliances, but no furniture. For more information on short and long stay accommodation:
