What’s on in Daventry Winwick Country Church Fete - Sunday 1st September
You are cordially invited to join the hundreds of visitors making their way to the tiny village of Winwick (population 40) for the Winwick Country Church Fete. It’ll be a fun day out for all of your family!
In addition to a huge range of over 50 craft stalls and activities, the Fete incorporates a Fun Dog Show and an Art Exhibition.You can also buy cakes, plants, preserves and produce, and take tea on the village green whilst a band plays. There is an opportunity to win £150 cash, a trip in a vintage 1914 Vauxhall or a night under the stars in a fabulous Shepherd’s Hut. With duck races along the brook, and plenty of fun and games for children, this Fete will be fun all the family, set in glorious countryside.
The fun starts at 2p.m. with an official opening by popular presenter Bernie Keith from BBC Radio Northampton. Entrance: Adults £2.00; OAPs and Children £1.00; Children under 12 free. Nordic walking is arguably the fastest growing fitness activity in the world. With the use of poles, Nordic walking is a fantastic whole body workout that can significantly help burn calories without having to walk faster or exert more effort! All courses will be held at West Glebe Park, Cottingham Road, Corby. A 4 week beginner course will cost you just £20.
