New Fort Myers Practice Focuses on Chelation Therapy
S
tudies have
shown
that high levels of heavy metals, in- cluding lead, pose a health hazard for children and can persist into adulthood. To help try to eliminate them, Medical Edge MD, which opened in June in Fort Myers, is offering a special discount for Natural Awakenings readers on non-invasive chelation therapy, a more convenient and affordable alternative to intravenous treatment. While an IV program can entail up to 30 separate, multi-hour sessions at a medical office, Medical Edge MD reports it can conduct a personalized program of suppositories and nutritional supplements that can be administered at home, along with periodic, 30-min- ute deep-heat sauna, infrared detoxifi- cations and hyperbaric oxygen sessions in the office. Owners say the procedure can rejuvenate damaged cells and reverse potential serious health is- sues. Using natural and homeopathic approaches, Medical Edge MD also provides weight management, skin peels and oxygen-enhanced fitness and strength programs.
