Humbled and enthralled. That is how I felt when I left the Royal Blind School following my visit to collect the cardboard cut-outs which the pupils had made of their favourite teachers in support of the “Send My Child to School” campaign. The class was just fantastic and highlighted all


that is wonderful about the school and the work that the dedicated staff achieve. I hope the Prime


Minister, to whom I have sent the figures, enjoys them just as much as my staff and I have. However, there was a slight tinge of sadness later in the week, when I learned that School Principal Julie Fardell is moving on from the School. She has done a fantastic job in the four years she has been there. I think it is absolutely appropriate to say, on behalf of the entire constituency – Thank You.
