I was delighted to play in a charity football match at QPR in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. This annual fixture pits MPs against a


celebrity select to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis organisation. Their work has added decades to the life chances of those affected.


The event raised over £35,000 for the


charity, kindly sponsored by National Grid and the Football Association. Incidentally the MPs won for the first time


in a decade!!!!


I spoke to Scottish Labour Conference on the issue


of workers' rights recently. This is an area which I have been doing a lot of work on in my Shadow Business role.
