Toyota Auris Hybrid Touring Sports offers cleaner driving in comfort and style. The first full hybrid estate to be introduced to the compact car sector, it is available to order from Jemca Toyota at its Berkshire retail centres in Reading and Bracknell as well as its locations in London and around the M25
The British-built Auris Hybrid Touring Sports at-a- glance:
• Class-leading CO2 emissions of 85g/km
• Significantly lower NOx and particulate emissions compared to diesel cars with comparable performance
• Class-leading luggage capacity, up to 1,658 litres
• Superb versatility with Easy-Flat one-touch rear seat folding system
• Auris Hybrid Touring Sports Icon priced from £21,095.
The British-built Auris Touring Sports, a compact estate car derived from the Auris hatchback range, is now on sale with first deliveries scheduled for July. Test drives are available at its Berkshire sites – Jemca Toyota Reading in Rose Kiln Lane and Jemca Toyota Bracknell in John Nike Way. Business drivers can utilise the services of the Jemca Business Centre which includes test drives at nearby offices and advice on the best funding to match the requirements of individual businesses.
The first model in its class to offer a full hybrid petrol electric powertrain with class-leading CO2 emissions of 85g/km as well as significantly lower NOx and particulate emissions when compared to its diesel counterparts, the combination of luggage capacity alongside its Benefit in Kind (BIK) of just 11% makes the newly arrived hybrid estate particularly attractive to business users.
Alongside the full hybrid is a choice of three other engines – 1.33-litre Dual VVT-I and 1.6-litre Valvematic petrol units; and the 1.4-litre D-4D diesel. The Hybrid Synergy Drive system, already a firm favourite among business users
since the technology is now firmly established in the Sports Touring’s hatchback sibling as well as the Prius which introduced the system in 2000, features a 1.8-litre VVT-I petrol engine and an electric motor, delivering a top speed of 109mph and nought to 62mph acceleration in 11.2 seconds, with maximum power output of 134bhp/100kW.
The Auris Hybrid Touring Sports Icon is expected to be a favourite among company car drivers and features include:-
• Front fog lamps
• Double level boot floor and storable tonneau cover
• Toyota Touch touchscreen entertainment system, including Bluetooth connectivity
• DAB Radio • Rear view camera
The Auris Touring Sports range’s hybrid system means that models are efficient without jeopardising the loadspace capacity. The new Easy-Flat one-touch rear seat folding system, double-level loadspace floor, two-way tonneau cover and 1,658-litre luggage capacity offers additional flexibility.
