SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDY IN AUSTRALIA

There are a limited number of scholarships offered by the Australian Government, education institutions and a number of other organisations for international students.


For information on scholarships the best resource available is available at www.studyinaustralia.gov.au where you can search the site’s database. The government website provides listings of all scholarships supplied by Australian-based organisations, institutions and government bodies to international students.


International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS)


The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) is for international students who want to undertake a postgraduate research qualification in Australia. This scholarship covers tuition fees and health cover costs, and health cover costs for their dependants.


To find out more you will contact your preffered Australian universities directly.


Information can be found about IPRS can be found on the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE) website.


Australian Scholarships


Australia Awards promotes knowledge and education links between Australia and its neighbours through Australia’s extensive scholarship programmes.


This initiative aims to build a new generation of global leaders with strong links to Australia.

Other Funding Sources


International and charitable organisations offer scholarships for international study. You will need to apply for this type of scholarship in your home country.


The Association of Commonwealth Universities website provides a scholarships guide for Commonwealth postgraduate students offered by Governments, Rotary International, World Bank, World Health Organisation, Asian Development Bank, United Nations, Rockefeller Foundation and other organisations.
