Interview E HIGH STREET nder of Udozi By Kelly Dolan

stock is updated and consumers can quickly and easily find what they are looking for. So now that we’re pushing the service to consumers we can be confident that they have a wide variety of retailers to choose from.

What does the future hold for Udozi?

We have a lot of exciting partnerships in the pipeline, and we believe firmly in the future of the UK high-street. But we believe that the high-street needs to adapt and use technology to drive consumers back if it is to survive. We believe that mobile has the potential to help do this, connecting the dots between the online and offline worlds. That’s where Udozi comes in. We want to be part of this high street technology revolution.

We have ambitious growth plans to support this vision. We’re hoping to expand out of London by the end of the year and plan to start offering our services to consumers nationwide throughout 2014. In the meantime we will also be continuing

to enhance our service by getting more retailers on board and releasing new features throughout 2013 which will all help offer a better experience for people shopping on the high street.

If you had to give one piece of advice to those who are thinking about starting their own business, what would it be?

Just do it! Be sure to research your market and speak to friends and family to make sure your idea is a good one. Once you’ve validated your ideas, take time to roll your business out step-by-step, focusing on small, well defined areas first where you can test it properly. There are so many people who have fantastic business ideas but are just too scared to take the leap, so don’t be afraid to just go for it.
