Newly approved in 2013 was also New Horizon Haflinger’s pony Stellar TVR along with Delores Seketa’s fantastic German Riding Pony Adonis. Adonis will stand at Fox Creek Farm.
Te success of the Weser-Ems
in North American continues to grow, thanks to the flourishing breeding programs of Ann Kitchel of Huntington Farm, Heather Luing of Whispered Wish Weser-Ems, Debbie Malinowski of Wellsmount Farm, Louise Rascoe of Longview Sport Ponies, Chris Rush of Fair Winds Farm and Kathy St. Martin of Avalon Equine. As the Weser-Ems breed develops in North America, it is now possible to find the very best of European bloodlines bred and raised here. For smaller female riders, Weser-Ems ponies and small horses are an attractive and competitive alternative to large powerful Warmblood mounts. Several North American breeders are
crossing Weser-Ems ponies with the best bloodlines that European Warmblood breeding has to offer to create small horses that are manageable in size yet big in talent and movement. Examples of such a cross are Breitling, a 2013 Whispered Wish-bred colt by Burberry out of Premium German Oldenburg mare Kabibi by Rubin Royal/Donnerhall and the licensed Weser-Ems pony stallion Cappuchino Tyme by Charivari out of the German Oldenburg mare Dolores by Diamond Hit/ Justinian xx. Cappuchino Tyme was discovered at the 2008
Weser-Ems mare Baby Doll and Jaye Cherry winning at Fourth Level.
Spring Elite Auction in Vechta, where he sold to Canadian dressage team rider Evi Strasser at just three years of age for her daughter Tanya. Cappuchino Tyme was the second reserve champion of his licensing at Vechta in 2007. As an FEI Pony mount for Tanya, the pair swept several shows including the FEI Pony division in the electric atmosphere of Dressage at Devon in 2011 when the pony was just six years old. As Tanya transitioned to horses, Cappuchino Tyme has been sold to French rider Clarissa Strickland- Rufin, who has competed him in European and North American CDIs with success. Makinley by Makuba out of Riennan by Rienzi/Arabest Durriel is a Weser-Ems 2012 Premium Foal.
Constantin out of Wienerin by Livio/Ordenglanz was already famous as a state champion and Vice-Bundeschampion in Germany when she purchased him at Vechta in 2002. Fortunately, upon importation to the United States he has been fully trained to Grand Prix by his rider Jaye Cherry, receiving scores up to 68.90% in Grand Prix against full-sized competition! Also owned by Marta and campaigned by Jaye is the talented Weser-Ems mare Baby Doll by Botticelli out of Maisha by Constantin/ Werwolf, who was discovered at the Fall Elite Auction in Vechta. Tis winter Baby Doll
debuted at Fourth Level and won against full size competition in Burbank, California. Weser-Ems ponies and small horses can be incredible competition mounts for juniors or smaller adults. As our breeder’s programs mature, more and more North American bred Weser- Ems ponies will enter the competition rings. Teir top sport ability, manageable size and sparkling personalities prove that size truly does not matter.
Weser-Ems stallion Burberry was the first N.A. bred Weser-Ems stallion to become licensed in 2009 upon successful competition of his FN recognized 30- Day Pony Test at Silver Creek. He holds the highest pony score to date with an overall score of 8.56.
