Benefit for Tiffany Johnson in Sauk Center

A Tiffany Johnson

benefit for Tiffany Johnson (“Psychic Tiff”) will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 27 at the Palmer House Hotel, in Sauk Center. Johnson, a psychic, author, speaker and healer known throughout the Twin Cities and the country, suffered a major stroke on January 18. During the Tiffany Johnson Stroke Fund Benefit, several

of Johnson’s friends will offer their services as donations to the fund to help pay Johnson’s medical bills. At 11 a.m., psychic Tim Baxton will hold a group gallery reading (tickets

must be purchased in advance). From 1 to 5 p.m., psychics Chris (Tonnar) Krinke and T.K. Dunn and energy healer Jennifer Salness will hold intuitive readings and healings (booked first-come, first-served at the event). A silent auction will be held from 11 am to 5 pm. Johnson, 40, has been active in the Twin Cities and national metaphysical and

paranormal community for many years. Her stroke, an arterial dissection, resulted in massive brain swelling and loss of movement on one side. Several major surger- ies saved her life, but she faces a long rehabilitation to recover movement, speech and everyday life skills. Everyone is welcome, and all proceeds from the event will go directly to

the fund.

See the Film Doctored in Roseville

M

ind and Body Chiropractic Life Center, in Ros- eville, will hold a screening of the new docu-

mentary Doctored at 6:30 p.m. on April 25. The event is free and open to the public. Doctored, by award-winning producer Jeff

Hays (On Native Soil), explores the monopoliza- tion of the medical system in the United States. Some of the questions the movie seeks to answer include: Is much of what we “know” about mod- ern medicine just slick marketing from companies that profit when we’re in pain (or by putting us in pain)? Why aren’t we being told about the success- es of natural therapies? Why do so many people

think chiropractors are “quacks,” nutritional supplements are a waste of money and acupuncture is a fringe therapy? The Los Angeles Times wrote, “Doctored is an involving, well-crafted, hu- mane look at a topic that stands to affect us all.” A brief question-and-answer session will follow the film, and refreshments

will be provided.

Cost: Free; reservations requested. Location: Mind and Body Chiropractic Life Center, 3101 Old Hwy. 8, Ste. 106, Roseville. For more information, visit MindBodyChiropractic.com. To register, call Dr. Vernon Kuznia 651-600-3521 or visit MindBodyChiropractic.eventbrite.com.

N

The NAPC training staff spent several days with the entrepreneurs now launching new Natural Awak- enings territories or taking over the production of existing magazines in several locales. New markets include Albany, New York; Toledo, Ohio; and Portland, Maine; and the franchise in Indianapolis, Indiana, will have a new publisher at the helm. Company CEO Sharon Bruck-

“Interest in naturally healthy

living that’s good for people and the planet is now influencing main- stream America, thanks in part to our active and growing readership,” says Bruckman. “Natural Awakenings’ dedicated family of publishers, sup- ported by loyal advertisers, connects readers with a wealth of national and local resources mapping out alter- nate routes to a healthier, happier, longer life.”
