A stronger seal integrity
Holfeld Plastics has added to their range of sustainable trays for poultry and fish products with the unveiling of a range of r-PET/PE poultry and fish trays. This latest introduction adds to the acclaimed rPET and PP S2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 ranges of poultry and fish trays. In creating the pluS range Holfeld has devised a tray with improved sealing characteristics offering excellent barrier performance ideally suited to poultry and fish products. A PE sealing film provides for stronger seal integrity and the trays can have either a lock seal or peelable film solution. The packaged products are securely protected in rigid plastic trays with strategically located ribbing to withstand rigorous packhouse, warehousing or transit environments. A high impact resistance at chill cabinet temperatures means that they are perfectly engineered for domestic deep
freezers.The products are available with coloured drip pads or with Holsorb, an integral drip retention feature in the base of some trays eliminating the need for soak pads.

New tubulars Tubulars are one of the most popular bottle
shapes and M&H is pleased to announce the addition of a new range all designed to take the same new flat flip top cap. The products, which are manufactured in HDPE, are available in 4 sizes: 250ml (Ref. 5006), 200ml (Ref. 5049), 150ml (Ref. 5048) plus 150ml tottle (Ref. 5650). A new flip top cap has been specifically created to fit the whole

A broadened MediaSet
Stora Enso Speciality Papers has broadened their MediaSet basis weight offering and is now available in 80, 90 and 100 gsm. Specially developed for high-speed- converting, the paper is optimised for the production of packaging wrappers for confectionery and labelling cans and jars. The high-white, glossy surface of MediaSet with its offset printability, supports a high quality and freshness emphasized product presentation at the Point of Sale. The high bulk runnability and very good glue adhesion allow high and highest speed in printing, converting, packaging and labelling lines. SHRINK SLEEVES
Clondalkin Group company Chadwicks has created an innovative range of shrink sleeves which add a further dimension to the visual design of the sleeve by way of a pocket. The pocket sleeve allows for more information on the product without
impacting on the design or
container size. Chadwicks has produced six
designs of the pocket sleeve for H K Wentworth for its Air Duster spray product range, which was previously housed in printed cans. Moving across to sleeves enabled H K Wentworth to reduce stock inventory and associated costs, and the addition of the pocket means gives of space for additional information.
