Comprising of three dedicated hubs including Pakex, PPMA and Interphex, visitors are invited to discover the latest in packaging design at the Pakex Hub, machinery to enhance productivity at the PPMA show and new manufacturing solutions designed for the pharmaceutical industry in the Interphex hub.

Free-to-attend seminars will also be available at the Pakex Innovation Hub, Manufacturing Forum, sponsored by Linx Printing Technologies and the Interphex Theatre, sponsored by Burkert Fluid Control Systems,

The seminar will include talks from Neil Farmer, Managing Director of Neil Farmer Associates; Doug James, Managing Director and Founder of Honey, and Emma Wise, Chair of the Starpack Advisory Group. Topics include ‘The Evolution of Innovation’, 'Innovation from A to B: Fortifying the supply chain', and ‘Activating Fresh Innovation – Nurturing New Blood’. Other seminars included in the programme will be chaired by editors from Process Engineering, Machinery Update, The Manufacturer, Packaging News, and Pharmamceutical Manufacturing and Packing Source (PMPS). THE ONES TO WATCH Also at the show this year will be ‘The Ones to Watch’
competition, which recognises the contributions of processing and packaging professionals under the age of 35 in a bid to discover the industry's next rising star. The award aims to scout out the best and most innovative young processing and packaging professionals with an exceptional entrepreneurship spirit and a commitment and diligence to the industry. Nominations come from every area of the industry, and will be shortlisted by a panel of judges which includes Bob Hinchcliffe, Managing Director of Quasar Automation, Josh Brooks, Brand Director of Packaging News and Gary Wyles, Managing Director of Festo. A public vote will then
help the judges choose the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners. The Gold Winner will receive a complimentary, 'in-company' training course worth over £9,500 from Festo's Training & Consulting portfolio, the sponsors of the competition.
THE PACKAGING DESIGN CHALLENGE New to the Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition 2013, the Packaging Design Challenge, judged by a panel of packaging experts and investors, invites candidates to submit new packaging design concepts in response to four pre-determined scenarios that address key industry trends.
