International hotel brand Radisson Blu is stepping up efforts to strengthen its meeting and event business with the launch of the Experience Meetings concept, a holistic approach to delivering successful meetings. Initially rolled out across Radisson Blu’s


network of European hotels, the programme was recently launched in the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, these properties include the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh; Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah; Radisson Blu Royal Suite Hotel, Jeddah; Radisson Blu Al Muna Kareem Hotel, Al Madinah; and Radisson Blu Hotel, Yanbu. “The meeting and event segment is one of


the most profitable parts of our hotel opera- tions in Saudi Arabia and the competition is intense for this business. Search results display all the essential information including number of guests and meeting rooms, as well as the scale of the hotel’s facilities. Proposals can also be requested online with a maximum response time of 12 hours, although Benamar says they always strive to reply sooner. Once a booking has been confirmed, the


Experience Meetings journey continues with three major elements comprising Brain Food, Brain Box and Free WiFi. According to Benamar, Brain Food is the first


concept of its kind introduced in the kingdom. It also supports the Saudi government’s initia- tives to promote health consciousness and a well-balanced diet. “Experience Meetings will definitely separate


high standards and services to guarantee guest satisfaction and, in turn, build loyalty. Benamar says the initiative is especially significant as the meetings and events segment represents around 25 percent of the hotel group’s operations in the Middle East. The new concept also supports Radisson Blu


hotels’ existing menu of customer-centric serv- ices such as the ‘Yes I Can!’ philosophy, the 100 percent guest-satisfaction guarantee and the complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access in all their properties worldwide. Benamar emphasises that the introduction


of the Experience Meetings programme is considered the next step in the organic devel- opment of the company’s meetings offering.


“We’ve always delivered special business packages, but now we have a new look and
