A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and Cornell Univer- sity Management Hotel and Restaurant master’s program, Prizzi was a chef at Windows on the World, in New York City, for 17 years, and earned honors from the James Beard Foundation (she cooked for Julia Child on Child’s 65th birthday).

nonprofit cat rescue and holistic sanctuary, opened last month at 956 Second Avenue North, in Naples. It is ac- cepting donations of a wide variety of items, including la- dies hats, handbags, high heels, sandals, clothing, jewelry, wood furniture, unusual lamps, local art, books, stand- alone wood or metal coat racks and chandeliers, linens, tablecloths, books, shoes, Christmas ornaments and other gently used items.


The Shabby Cat also offers a variety of volunteer oppor- tunities.
