Actor Eric Roberts to Appear at NAMI Luncheon


ward-winning actor Eric Roberts will be the special guest at Celebration of Friends, The National Alliance on Mental Illness’ (NAMI) luncheon, taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., December 7, at the Hilton Naples. Roberts is the honor- ary chair of NAMI of Collier County and supports its mission to improve the quality of life for those affected by mental illness. Since 1986, NAMI has been providing support and resources to thousands of individuals and their families in the county. NAMI provides information, referral and support groups at no cost, as well as educational programs including crisis interven- tion training for local law enforcement and related personnel. NAMI operates the Sarah Ann Drop-In Center, which offers a safe haven for those needing a place to go for support and to learn skills and other ways to improve their mental health.

Personal Trainer Promotes Winter Fitness C


ertified Pilates and Gyrotonic Instructor Patricia Wilborn is leading a variety of curricula to upgrade fitness levels this winter. She will conduct one-hour classes for up to four attend- ees each in core and balance, Pilates, gyrotonics and yoga at various times each weekday at the Gyrotonic & Pilates Studio of Naples.


All non-yoga classes, specially designed to strengthen core muscles and also improve both posture and energy levels, uti- lize appropriate, state-of-the-art machines.
