Museum development officer Stephanie Meads presents Barbara Birchwood-Harper and Judy Martin of the Old Guildhall Museum in Looe with the museum’s certificate of Accreditation
Museum receives accrediation
The Old Guildhall Museum in Looe has achieved accreditation by Arts Council England – acknowledging that it is being run to the professional standards set out by the council.
A certificate of accreditation was presented to the museum’s curator, Barbara Birchwood-Harper, during the annual end of season lunch given by East Looe Town Trust (ELTT) to thank the museum’s volunteer guides.
After welcoming the volunteers and thanking them for their work, Barbara
introduced chairman of ELTT John Warne and museum development officer Stephanie Meads to guests, thanking them both for all their support.
ELTT administration manager Judy Martin and rota organiser Dot Dunning were also presented with chocolates and thanked for their hard work.
‘Our focus for the next couple of years will to be to collect information and memories from World War One and a World War Two focus on 1944,’ said Barbara.
