ENDOWMENT FUNDS

Outright gifts, planned gifts, and bequests are instrumental in building the OES endowment, benefitting students and teachers with funding for student financial aid, faculty salaries, teacher professional development, and enrichment programs. Benefactors may choose to endow scholarships, chairs, programs, buildings, or other important aspects of OES. The Development Office can help donors plan a gift annuity, bequest, or trust that will provide income and tax benefits in addition to supporting the school.

ELIZABETH AND MARGARET REEVES Elizabeth (below left) and Margaret Reeves were sisters who attended St. Helen’s Hall (SHH), graduating in 1932 and 1930, respectively. They both went on to study at St. Helen’s Hall Junior College (JC). Both girls attended SHH and JC on scholarship. Elizabeth repaid that generosity by establishing charitable trusts, to which Margaret contributed, to benefit the school after their deaths. The trusts have funded the Elizabeth Reeves and Margaret Reeves Yick Scholarship Fund.

JAKE STULTS Jake Stults was a talented musician and a patient, caring math and computer science teacher in the OES Upper School. After his death in 2010, Jake’s family established The Jake Stults Memorial Scholarship Endowment. The endowment is a fitting way to honor the memory of Jake’s intelligence, talent, youth, and vigor. It allows OES to provide increased financial aid to deserving students for generations to come.
