was launched in 1988. What is most excellent is the

fact they were determined and focused. They walked around everywhere with flyers, babies in tow with stroller and baby back pack and began to market their business aggressively. In the first month of business

SANTA ROSA, CA. ~ We all know how times are when it comes to the mortgage busi- ness, but for some people in the business, it means working just a bit harder and adjusting to the times. It also means success! For Lynn Tardibuono(upper

the ground) with daughter just above Megan

Tardibuono, (at the Harvest Fair 2012) it's all about family, fun, hard work and lots of play. When Forest met Lynn,

she was a paralegal and him a law student in San Diego. Introduced by Forest's sister who worked with Lynn, who had two young sons, they immediately liked each other and started dating and got mar- ried in 1987 not too long after and had young daughter Megan.

But San Diego and the city

life was not the best place to raise a family, so they packed up and moved north to Sonoma County. They then decided with what money they had combined to start a mortgage business. They had to learn fast. The mortgage industry was really starting to heat up and they became 'sponge heads' as Forest puts it learning everything they could. Sun Harbor Mortgage

they were able to get quite a few home improvement loans and were off to a running start. They started out by treating them right and gave excellent personal service. Years later they helped the very same peo- ple re-finance their homes! As they grew, they had to hire loan & real estate agents. It involved lots of training, and like Forest & Lynn, they looked for employees with strong eth- ics and a spirited entrepreneur- ial spirit and a hunger to suc- ceed. At one point they grew to over 30 employees with a big office and made a lot of money. Then suddenly the mar- ket fell apart as we all know. But like everyone else they had to downsize and got hit very hard. But they got on their feet immediately by working harder than ever.

Having moved into his first apartment, a young man invited his Mother and Father for a visit. As they walked in, the son asked if they would like a cold drink. Mentally patting myself on the back for teaching his son to be such a gracious host, the Father said, "Yes, what do you have?" The son walked over to the refrigerator, opened the door, studied the contents, and then replied, "I have pickle juice or water."

The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and some- thing to hope for.
