FORMER BRITISH and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion Julius Francis will be part of the cast of The Ring of Envy, the fourth production by Intermission Youth Theatre. The Ring of Envy is inspired by

Shakespeare’s Othello and is set in an East End boxing club, with Othello as a boxing champion rather than a Venetian army general. The play is Intermission Youth

THE COMPETITION to design the new Cadogan Café in Duke of York Square has reached the shortlist stage. The six design teams invited to submit proposals – chosen from 147 expressions of interest – are Architecture 00 Ltd, Carmody Groarke, Duggan Morris Architects Ltd, NEX, Pernilla Ohrstedt Ltd and TaylorSnell. An exhibition of the shortlisted designs is planned for November.

Hugh Seaborn, chief executive of the Cadogan

What we’re looking for now is a proposal that is creative, sensitive to the setting, and practical to build.” The winner will be announced by early

December.
