OCTOBER BRIEFING

JIGSAW, Hackett of London and Hobbs are among the fashion brands taking part in the Wool School initiative, which sees young designers creating limited edition jumpers for retailers.

The Campaign for Wool – which champions the use of wool and is backed by HRH the Prince of Wales – has paired 11 fashion students with retail partners, each of which will stock a different design. There are 12 designs in total, with Jigsaw stocking two pieces – men and women’s – both by Buckingham University’s Hannah Simpson. Five per cent of the proceeds from the jumpers will go back into fashion education programmes across the UK. The jumpers will go on sale during Wool Week, October 15-21. www.campaignforwool.org

There are some tables outside for al fresco dining. Côte is open Monday-Saturday, 7am-11pm, and Sundays, 8am- 10.30pm. T: 020 7881 5999.
