HE world of fashion is a wonderful place, offering endless opportunities for dressing up. But – there’s a time and a place for experimenting and when you’re on holiday, it is most certainly not one of them. Time is precious. To achieve this height of organisation you need to apply a little clever thinking and a capsule wardrobe can be yours. Th e r e ’s a scientific principle at the heart of a capsule wardrobe – each item in it must go with at least three other things. Crack this and you’re well on the way to streamlining your style. And when yo u ’re in the midst of a last-minute packing session, yo u ’ll be glad you did. Even if you’re staying at home and the sun is suddenly putting in an appearance. You don't want to miss a minute of the summer’s good times. Meanwhile that holy grail of shoes – a pair that will go with everything – might take the form of low-heel wedges or ballerina flats. To be ready for all weathers, a versatile cardigan or jumper are worth their weight in gold. If in doubt, a faithful maxi dress will serve you well. As Mae West drawled: “You can say what you like about long dresses, but they cover a multitude of shins.” Capsule wardrobes may sound complicated, but
