Students have a ball


Crowds of spectators greeted Year 11 students of Looe Community School when they arrived for the annual Leavers’ Ball at The Hannafore Point Hotel recently.


Traffic was almost at a standstill as a variety of ‘vehicles’ drew up – from


Rolls Royces, sports and vintage cars, to decorated tractors, campervans and even two shire horses.


More than 100 students were joined by staff, including headteacher Heather Jenkin and Year 11 head Jerry Kever, for a meal followed by a disco.
