Big Brother Facebook app Endemol for Channel 5 C5’s revival of the reality show resulted in a dig- ital overhaul to beef up the level of content avail- able and increase the range of voting options. The Big Brother app was one of the first to allow fans of the show to vote for contestants by pur- chasing Facebook Credits. Almost 700,000 users cast more than 900,000 votes in a 10-week period from September.
Bloomberg Television+ Bloomberg The business news service’s iPad app was specifically designed to take full advantage of the tablet platform. The free service has been downloaded more than 325,000 times and has served more than 2 million streams since it was launched in October. Along with a live stream of Bloomberg TV, it includes a customisable ticker for stock alerts and raft of VoD content.

ESPN Goals ESPN The Premier League goal clips app has exploded in popularity since ESPN swapped the subscription fee for an ad-funded model. Down- loaded 2 million times since its launch in August, the app allows fans to see goals from all 3pm kick-offs as soon as the rights allow at 5.15pm. Results, stats, tables and fixtures information is also included.
Streetmuseum Londinium History A highly immersive app that was the result of a tie-up between the A+E Networks channel and the Museum of London, together with creative agency Brothers and Sisters. The app, down- loaded more than 130,000 times, allows users to see the city during Roman times, over- laying Google maps and making use of aug- mented reality to uncover virtual artefacts.
The Walking Dead Walker’s Kill Count app Red Bee Media for FX An action-packed second-screen app that relied on audio watermarking to track the number of zombies killed in the apocalyptic drama. Users, who have downloaded it more than 40,000 times, could predict the kill count ahead of each episode, share their guess on social media, and watch previous kills by character or weapon.
