Welcome to our summer Vintage Edition As usual, we’re scrambling to put this


issue to bed. (Best laid plans and all…) Most of our writers, photographers and contributors have “real jobs”, and at this time of year it’s always last-minute for them to get their columns to us. But, as you can see, we managed to put


together another great issue of Bounder for your summer reading. We finally have some decent weather,


so everyone is pulling out their “toys”. There are lots of classic cars, trucks, and bikes out on the road. We’ll be taking in the numerous cruise nites, car and bike shows


that fill every weekend. We now have our own Bounder/


Freedom Harley Davidson trailer out at as many events as we can. We’re meeting tons of avid Bounder readers, and we’re introducing many more to the mag. (It’s hard to call it “work” when you get to chew the fat with great people and meet some interesting characters.) We’re still planning more events


to attend, but already we have been to three shows and there will be three more before this magazine hits the streets. The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is


one that we are always excited about participating in. We’ll be at Italian Week; the big Father’s Day event in Kemptville; the Father’s Day event hosted by the Hwy 43 Club; the Great Race June 26 & 27; the Petawawa Bike and Tattoo Show July 27, 28 and 29; and the DAWG FM Calabogie Blues and Rib Fest Aug. 17, 18 and 19. There will be other events, too, which we’ll post on Facebook. I hope everyone has a safe and


enjoyable summer. Take heed of the sun. Use sunscreen. Watch for bikers when you’re out driving. And make sure you take time to


enjoy some of what Ottawa and the Valley has to offer.
