• Sleeping • Digesting • Feeding or • Settling (e.g. highly irritable)
then your baby may be showing signs of retained birth compression.
What is retained birth compression?
The bones of the baby’s skull (head) mould and change shape in response to the stresses of labour (i.e. as the baby passes through the birth canal). This compression is usually released naturally after birth. However some factors can cause these compressions to be maintained leading to stresses within your baby’s head and spine.
