I am delighted to welcome you to the very first World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo here in Hamburg!
Over 190 of the world’s leading catering and onboard services providers are present representing the very best that the food-on-the- move industry has to offer. From cruise and rail, to the very latest products and services onboard the aircraft, this event is the premier tradeshow for the travel catering industry worldwide.
In launching World Travel Catering & Onboard
Services Expo our aim was to create an event that brought together the entire spectrum of onboard services providers. I am thrilled to announce that for the first time in many years, the major suppliers are present. This week provides you with a unique
opportunity in the travel catering calendar to see, taste, touch and talk about the future of your industry. It also gives you the opportunity to meet with the people that are driving this industry forward. Whilst here don’t forget to visit the Taste of
Travel Theatre located in Hall B1, featuring some of the world’s top industry chefs. They will be taking part in catering challenges, tasting demonstrations and looking at some of the key issues facing the travel catering industry today. It’s not all about food though, the theatre will also host informative sessions on what makes the perfect amenity kit with insights into what travellers really think about them! There will also be demonstration sessions featuring the very
latest products and technology on offer from some of our exhibiting companies. Co-located with Aircraft Interiors Expo, the global exhibition for the aircraft cabin interior, which attracts senior buyers from 200 of the world’s airlines, this week in Hamburg offers a one-stop-shop for the global passenger experience industry. For those of you that missed our newly launched conference ‘Cabin Innovation and Strategies for the Future’, taking place on the 26th March, the conference programme featured a session exploring the challenges of innovating onboard catering and retail. At the time of going to press over 60 airlines had registered to attend the conference. If you weren’t able to attend then make sure you register in time for the 2013 conference taking place in Hamburg just before the next edition of the event on the 8th April 2013.
