COMMUNITY NEWS & WHAT’S ON Following on our success in 2011, the team are now planning this
year’s work. The corner opposite Lidl is being cleared and re-named Jubilee Gardens. It will be replanted by the Spring.
Look out for bulbs appearing at Ridgewood, St. Mary’s Churchyard, Heritage Centre and Dodington Parish Hall.

This is going to be a busy year in the Sodburys with events to commemorate the
Diamond Jubilee as well as all the usual events and we want things to be as colour- ful as possible to provide a good background for all those events. We would like to see hanging baskets wherever there is space for them and we shall be encouraging people who don't normally have hanging baskets to have a go this year. We hope to run the External Floral Display Competition again and are thinking about a scarecrow competition as well. And we also have some ideas
for using up that redundant pair of wellies that many of us have hanging around. In the meantime, we are continuing our maintenance programme in the High Street on the first Thursday morning of each month and in Lilliput Park on the second Thursday morning of each month. The next Mind, Body, Spirit Show is in Chipping Sodbury Town Hall on Saturday 10th March. We have an array of stalls, therapy & Mind Body Spirit things on offer, with over 65 stalls. Refreshments available all day. Open 10 - 4pm. Entrance is just £3.00
